Weapons come in all forms, tangible ones that do physical harm and intangible ones, such as words and actions, that do mental and spiritual harm. If we are God's children, followers of Christ, and we keep his commands, God has got our back! Weapons formed against us may be permitted for a time to appear to prosper, but ultimately they will fail. Isn't that good news!!!
When I read today's scripture, I immediately thought of TJ's first solo in our church's youth choir many years ago. It was a song titled "No Weapon" by Fred Hammond. Here are some of the lyrics from the song...
No weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won’t work
No weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won’t work
God will do what He said He would do
He will stand by His word and He will come through, yeah
God will do what He said He would do
He will stand by His word and He will come through
No weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won’t work
For my layout today I used a photo from TJ's earlier choir days. All the kids in the photo are now in high school. Time sure does fly.

Oh wow, great photo for this layout!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's so true. Some harm will get to us, but will in the end not prosper at all. God is so good!
Have a great day!

Yes, Gemiel! That is very good news indeed! You've made another beautiful page!...Nancy :o)
ReplyDeleteWhen Cassandra first asked me to get involved with WAW, I never ever imagined that it would turn into this. I have been SO blessed by the friendships God has given me; including yours. I pray that you have been as blessed by this journey as I have been, and I want you to know - from the bottom of my heart- how very grateful I am for you. May God continue to bless you and your family, and draw you closer to Him with every passing day. You are a blessing, my dear Sister in Christ.

ReplyDeleteGreetings for two weeks Gemiel,
ReplyDeleteI love your pages. I was/am still scrapbook illiterate. Your pages are always lovely and it makes me feel like I can just take the horse by the reins and get started. For that may I say, "thank you"?
