I used pictures from Thanksgiving dinner at my brother's house last year for today's layout. I noticed that I'm not in any of the photos, so I'll have to make sure that I get in a couple of the pictures this year. On my layout, I used stamps from the MFP Calendar set, part of the November release, and the MFP Presents set.

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge! To be eligible to win be sure to link your page to MFPSpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge #43  and mention the MFPSpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge in your blog post. You have until 9:00 pm on Wednesday December 4th to submit your layouts.

For today's layout I am happy to say that we finally reached our destination on our 2012 summer vacation family road trip...California!  I have been working this vacation album for over a year. One album has turned into two and I still have tons of photos that I want to scrap.  On my layout, I used stamps from the new MFP Calendar stamp set, part of the November release.  This is a great set for scrapbookers as we always need to put a date somewhere on our page.

The photos on my layout are of my maternal grandfather's sister, Irena Johnson.   When I first saw these photos,  I realized that I don't know anything about my grandfather's family.  I do know that my mom was researching her genealogy in the years before she passed. I will have to look through her papers and see what I can learn about my grandfather.

I used 2 sentiment stamps from the MFP In My Den  stamp set on the tag on my layout.

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge! To be eligible to win be sure to link your page to MFPSpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge #40  and mention the MFPSpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge in your blog post. You have until 9:00 pm on Wednesday November 13th to submit your layouts.

MFP 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

Today is the final day of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge over at the Mark's Finest Papers Blog.  Today's challenge is a Toilet Paper Tube Mini Album.  Yes,  my little album was made from empty toilet paper rolls.  I just added some patterned papers, photos, MFP stamps, rings and ribbons. I ran the toilet paper rolls through my Big Shot machine to make them totally flat.  Each roll has a cardstock tag tucked inside to hold additional photos and journaling.  You can find the directions to make one of these cute little albums here.

My photos are from Christmas 2012.

It's not to late to participate in the challenge and the prize is well worth the effort. For each of the past 12 days, there was a new challenge featured on the  Mark's Finest Papers Blog, with samples on the blog and a full tutorial on MFPSpeedyTVAt the end of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge one random winner will be  choosen from each day. Each day’s winner will receive a Christmas themed stamp set from Mark’s Finest Papers a Heinrich Co.

But wait, there's more...  a GRAND PRIZE will be awarded to one blessed winner! To be eligible for the grand prize, all you have to do is complete all 12 challenges. Don’t worry, you can do it! You have until November 11th to complete them all. You can upload them for each day, as you complete them!

And what is the Grand Prize???  $350 worth of the current stamp sets from Mark’s Finest Papers a Heinrich Co! That’s 20 large stamp sets of the winner’s CHOICE! Just in time for the holidays!
