Yard Work

Today is the last day for the May Let Your Light Shine Scrapbook Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.  This month's challenge is to create a layout of any size using ODBD stamps and adding either flowers, trees/leaves, or birds to your layout.   I created "Yard Work" for this challenge.

I used the Jeremiah 18:6 stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs "You are the Potter" stamp set.  The patterned paper is from an older line by We R Memory Keepers.  The die cut letters, grass, trees, bird and sun are Quickutz and the yard work items are Jolee's by EK Success. I used chalk inks to accent the die cuts and used a Marvy circle punch  for the stamp background.

You can find the challenge details and the other challenge entires at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!!  Today is the start of the Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start of summer.  I don't have any special plans for this weekend,  just going to hang out in my scrapbook room, finish reorganizing and start creating again.  I've put part 2 of our summer vacation album on hold for awhile.  I needed a little change of theme so I'm scrapbooking random photos from the past couple of years.  Today I'm sharing a layout of my son with one of his school projects.

Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend!!

May CPC Blog Hop

It's time again for the monthly Christian Paper Crafts Blog Hop!  This month's theme is "For the Man in Your Life".  For my layout, I used a photo I took last weekend of my husband Tim, after he came home from the Tidewater Masters Golf Tournament.  It was a 2 day tournament and he was the winner in his flight,  earning him the prestigious "blue jacket".

Supplies used:  Patterned paper-Around the Block; Cardstock- Bazzill; Die cuts-Lifestyle Crafts, Quickutz; chalk, brads, metallic paper.  Results and tournament writeup, printed from the web.

Come hop along with us over at the Christian Paper Crafts Blog Hop.  Just click here to get started.  Make sure you go down to the bottom of the post so you don't miss any of the great projects. While you're there, why not join Christian Paper Crafts.    We'd love to welcome new members to our community!

National Day of Prayer

Today is National Day of Prayer, a day set aside by a law of Congress that designates the first Thursday in May each year as the "National Day of Prayer".  So let today serve as a reminder that prayer is a lifestyle.  We should be praying not just on this special day, but always, each and every day,  in season and out of season, in good times and bad, anywhere and everywhere.

My special prayer today is that God's guidance, wisdom, grace, mercy and blessings shine down on us, not just today, but each and every day, as we grow closer in our walk with Him.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.      2 Chronicles 7:14
