Happy New Year!!! It's the 2nd day of 2013 and I am feeling so blessed...blessed to be able to share more word art with you. God has such wonderful things in store for Word Art Wednesday in 2013. Check out this Word Art Wednesday Blog post for a taste of all the great things to come.
Today's word art comes from the Book of Psalms...
I think today's scripture is so fitting for the start of the new year. If for 2013 we purpose to put our trust in the Lord instead of in man, just imagine how great the year would be.
This year I'm dedicating my first layout of the year to the Lord. To keep the focus on God, I decided not to use a photo on my layout. Instead I used a digi stamp from one of this week's sponsors, Eureka Stamps, for my focal point. I used the Names Background digi and printed it out as if it was my photo. As the first page of my Word Art Wednesday Album, this layout will serve as a weekly reminder to put my trust in the Lord.
Supplies:
Sei Patterned Paper & Cardstock
Recollections Gems
Queen & Co. Pearls
EK Success Punch
Krylon Copper Leafing Pen
I hope you join us for our Word Art Wednesday challenges this year. Each week you will be blessed with word art that you can save to your computer for your personal use. We have wonderful sponsors that offer random prizes each week just for linking up your art to the WAW Challenge Blog. You can view the design team's creations on the Word
Art Wednesday Challenge Blog to be inspired by what they have created with each week's art. If you are new to our
challenge, check out the challenge guidelines to find out how you can
be eligible for the prize drawing from our two sponsors this week Lisa's Altered Art and Eureka Stamps .
Thanks for stopping by. May God's peace be with you in 2013.
Beautiful LO, tfs!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, as always, Gemiel! What a great combination of images to use in exalting the name of our God. All these names bear witness to His character and it is in part His character...His very nature...that gives the foundation for our complete trust in Him. I love your page, the rhinestone flourishes are beautiful. Fabulous color scheme too (my colors!).
ReplyDeleteOh Gemiel this is stunning - love the use of the montage, and the way this weeks scripture draws the eye straight to it!

ReplyDeleteYour layouts are always SO beautiful, Gemiel. I can see God's love shine through your art, and see your love for Him in your creations. I am so blessed to know you and to share your talents in glorifying and lifting up His name together at WAW. God is SO GOOD, and I am very grateful to Him for you.

Hi Gemiel
ReplyDeleteOhhh your card is giving me good IDEAS! Thanks so much for the inspiration. I think the swirl gems are a perfect accent to help guide the eye around your card face. Lovely colors and I think this is nice being in a square format.
Blessings to you!
Barb

ReplyDeleteUsing the Names of God to highten our understanding of this weeks verse was marvellous and it really worked. It is a beautiful piece of art that we see and absorb at the same time. Thank you.
