MFP Scrapbook Challenge #7

It's time for a new scrapbook challenge over at MFP SpeedyTV.   This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. Your challenge is to create a layout based on the following sketch by Pagemaps.

Your layout doesn't have to be an exact copy of the sketch.  Feel free to rotate it, add or delete elements, just use the sketch as a guide to spark your imagination.  Remember this challenge is strictly scrapbook layouts, no cards please, and you have to use stamps on your layouts.  You don't have to use Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co stamps, but if you do you will receive an additional entry for the a chance to win our weekly prize set for March...

"Liberty Lady Mini"

For my layout I used photos from my grandmother's album.  This time I know who's in the photos LOL.  It's my mother's younger sister, and the photos are her school portraits.  One when she was a little girl and one seven years later.   I stamped the globe and clock from the Mark's Finest Papers In My Den set on some shipping tags for my page embellishments. I cut the tags to fit my layout, distressed the edges, and attached them to the page with brads.

Supplies:
DCWV Patterned Paper
Mark's Finest Papers In My Den  stamp set
Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon
K & Co. Brads
Shipping tags
Memento Ink
Tim Holtz Distress ink

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge!  Be sure to link your page to MFP SpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge #7 and mention MFPSpeedyTV Scrapbook Challenge and Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co in your blog post.  Please do not submit any back linked layouts.  You have until 9:00 pm on Wednesday March 27th to submit your layouts.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Blessings!

  1. Gemiel, your page is really great and nice to have those old photos and they look in really good condition and I love the sepia effect. It's an interesting way to do the stamping on the tag - really like the globe an the Tim tape - I have some but have been hoarding it - will have to get it out and use it.

  4. What a beautiful page Gemiel. I love that you're creating wonderful new art with your grandmother's old vintage photos. I have SO MANY photos like that, that I would love to get onto pages, but wouldn't even know where to start.

Love the idea of stamping on the vintage-looking tags too. And LOVE that TH ribbon!
