Word Art Wednesday #20

Hi!  It's Word Art Wednesday!!!!  Today's word art is from 1 Corinthians 13:13

Love...  just what is love?  The dictionary defines love as:

(1): strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties   (2): attraction based on sexual desire (3): affection based on admiration, benevolence or common interests (4): unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another

Surely love is all this, but it's so much more.  The Word defines love as this:

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.  1 Cor 13:4-8

1 John 4 tells us over and over that God is love.  God is love and He has shown his love to us by sending his son as a sacrifice for our sins.  He commands us to love one another as He has loved us. Love is the greatest because it outlasts everything.  After we no longer need faith and hope, love will still be the thing that controls all that God and his redeemed people are and do.

For my layout today I used a photo of my husband and I, back when we were dating during our college years.

Supplies:

  7. Hi Gemiel! I really love your layout for this week. You do such a lovely job of capturing your family's memories in your gorgeous layouts. I'm blessed to get a glimpse into your life through your art. I'm so grateful to God for bringing us together through Word Art Wednesday. I have a question for you, and you can email your response (if you know). I notice that some challenge blogs (like Verve and others) use Splitcoast Stampers for their challenges. Can you tell me anything about Splitcoast stampers, and why it is benefitial to become a member there. I don't know much about it, but would enjoy learning what it is all about. I just LOVE my Verve stamps and would like to purchase MANY more. Just like ODB stamps - they're BEAUTIFUL and SO inspiring. OK sorry, I'm rambling. Thanks for your input, and I hope you have a very blessed week!
    Hugs,
    Karen
