Today's word art comes from the book of Deuteronomy...
When you stop to think about it, God doesn't really ask much of us. All we have to do is love Him with ALL our heart, soul and might. And Jesus did say that this is the first and greatest commandment. If we truly love God with everything we've got, He'll take care of the rest. Pretty easy, huh??? NOT!! Perhaps if we lived in a vacuum...but we live in the world, and things of the world can be pretty distracting at times...
Last week I had the privilege of being a preschool leader at our church's Vacation Bible School. Challenging yes, but seeing those little children so eager and excited to learn about God far outweighed the challenges. Of course they get distracted too, but their distractions were temporary. We were always able to bring them back to the main focus, God, because their hearts were so open to receive and pour forth God's love. Let the little children remind us that we are to love God with our "all".
