It's Wednesday again!! This past week sure went by fast! I guess it's because there were 2 birthdays in our household, TJ's and mine, so we were doing a lot of celebrating (smile).
Today's word art is from Jeremiah 29...
This is one of my favorite scriptures and one I've been leaning on a lot lately. Being a parent of a teenager isn't always easy. We find ourselves having to deal with issues and things we never would have dreamed of years ago. But through it all, I hold on to God's word in Jeremiah 29:11. I know that God has plans for TJ, plans for his future, plans to prosper him and not to harm him. TJ's future is guaranteed by his relationship with God. God wants to bless His children, not harm them. We have to remain open to God's leading in whatever direction He says we should go. When we follow God's leading, we line up with His will, and all the things we are going through are just stepping stones to all the good things He has in store for us.

Before I go, I'd like to share one more photo with you. The photo on my layout was taken on TJ's birthday and the photo below was on my birthday. The Willow Tree angel I'm holding was TJ's birthday present to me.

Your word art Wednesdays touch me because of the way you incorporate the Word into an everyday layout or situation and isn't that what we are suppose to do? Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not a scrapbooker, I truly appreciate the art form. I am amazed as to how you are able to link so many everyday events to scripture. I'm sure that TJ will be able to look back at them in the future not only for the memories, but for the strength and inspiration that the Lord has brought into your life. By the way, I have 2 teenage daughters, so I know what you mean about the challenges. I think the hardest thing for me is to just let go and know that the Lord is in charge. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWow Gemiel TJ is growing up. I truly miss you all. And learning so much from you all. Your layout is so cute. I love the colors and papers. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Miss Ya AJ~

Gemiel: Thanks for another great layout. No, having teenagers isn't easy, and parenting isn't for whimps. By the grace of God, we can raise a generation of children with a heart for the Lord. You are obviously doing a great job, and I pray for you. I have no idea what TJ will pursue, but I encourage you and your husband to consider and pray about Bible College. It has been SUCH a tremendous blessing in our kids' lives and given them a servants' heart like no other kind of education could. I want you to know I'm always here to encourage you, and I love that your family is seeking to honor God in all ways.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a blessing to me, and to others through WAW.
Blessings and prayers,
Karen L
