God has not given us the spirit of fear. He does not want us walking around timidly or as cowards. Fear is not of God. Instead, He has given us power, power from Him to enable us to withstand trials and tribulations, conflicts and danger. Power to resist temptation. Power to enable us to go out boldly and do His will. He's given us love, first and foremost to love Him, with all our heart, mind soul and strength and then to love our neighbor. And he's given us a sound mind, a mind that's well balanced and under the right influences, not "cluttered up" with the cares of the world, a mind that moves forward in the work of the Lord.
For my layout I used photos from a huge snowstorm we had in 2010. We don't get tons of snow around here so a snowstorm is a really big deal. The newspapers ran all kinds of stories about the hazards we might face in the storm conditions. Sure we heeded the warnings, but we didn't stay holed up in our house out of fear. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear....

ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for your testimony. Fear indeed is not of God. I hate it when I have fears. They held me back for a long time. But God is good and helps us. And we only have to go to God and follow Him.
ReplyDeleteYour layout is beautiful. Love the sparklings on it. And the colors really make me think of winter.
Thanks so much for sharing.
