Word Art Wednesday #49

Happy Wednesday!!  Today's Word Art comes from the book of Ephesians...

Forgiveness seems to be a hot topic these days.  TD Jakes and Joyce Meyer have both recently published books on forgiveness.  While I'm sure these books are excellent reads and full of great advice,  all we really need to read on forgiveness is in The Book.  Today's word tells us to forgive each other just as God in Christ has forgiven us.  Of course we're all human and forgiving each other is usually much easier said than done.  We love that God has forgiven us, we just don't want to forgive others the have had "the nerve" to do something to offend us.  Forgiveness is hard, but we can forgive others if we are walking in the forgiveness of God.  If we look at our own lives and see all we have done to offend God, and realize that He has forgiven us over and over again, how can we not forgive others?  We can't do it in and of ourselves, but with God we can forgive others, simply because He has forgiven us.

For my page today,  I used a photo of my son's little league team after a baseball game.  The photo was taken several years ago and to be truthful,  I can't remember whether they won or lost the game. Our county isn't that big, so when my son's team played, they were almost always playing against some of  their friends. But after every game, win or lose,  they smiled and shook hands.  All the tags out, all the bad pitches, jeering, and bad plays were forgiven, and they went from being opponents back to being friends.

  1. What a great layout for this Scripture verse, Gemiel! "Forgiveness" is the second most popular search on my blog. It is a struggle for many! Thank you for your sharing!...Nancy :o)

  2. Oh this is just so fitting for this photo, I just love the way you share the word and tie it into thse special moments on your layouts.

  3. I love this layout but I don't like that the Bible quotes are in old English. I wonder why they use ye, hath, thee, etc.

  4. Gemeiel this is a great page and so eloquently illustrates what you were saying. Yes, forgiveness is really one of the major keys to freedom.

  5. Gemiel, what a great verse for this layout and what a wonderful page you have created. Gives me ideas for a page for my granddaughter's soccer photos! Love to be inspired by you!

  6. What an excellent application of this week's scripture. Blessings!

  7. I love that you used this photo and "team spirit" to illustrate this verse!

  8. Nice! Everything works so well on this one!
