New Orleans

I'm still working on my Summer Vacation 2010 album and my goal is to get it done by Easter. Last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, so now I have less than 40 days to get it finished.
The last vacation layout I posted was of our arrival in Louisiana, and now we're in New Orleans.  We went to New Orleans last summer for a family reunion. No, my family isn't from NOLA, but one of our cousins now lives there and he was the host for the reunion.

New Orleans is famous for Mardi Gras, and even though we went during the summer, there were traces of Mardi Gras everywhere.  Here, my husband and dad are sitting in front of a store that sells nothing but Mardi Gras trinkets and souvenirs.

Our first walk down the famous Bourbon Street was during the afternoon while it was daylight. Even during the daytime we saw some "interesting" sights.

Stay tuned for more of our NOLA adventure ...
